I am trailoring my Lightning to Hallsville, so I have room to bring the grille.
Here is the catch.............I can bring the grille, but we need volunteers to cook and organize the food.
If everyone pitches in around five bucks, and we get enough participants, that will buy enough burgers and dogs to feed us all.
OK fellers........any volunteers????

Nice jesture Ron, but I remember some guys tried to grill stuff last year and they were left at the track in the dark. The burgers at the snack shack (track food) are actually very good. Based on a 3-hour drive out and another 3-hour drive home, it might be easier to skip the burgers and just use the day to race and visit. My $.02

I hear what your saying Dennis, but I feel the urge to clarify a couple things;) . Last year, there was no grille. Someone brought out a bag of fajita meat....and didn't think about making sure there was a grille. Then after spending all day racing....someone came up with the idea of digging a 12" hole in the dirt and cooking over that. The cooking process started about an hour before the track closed. The first fajita was served up at around 6:00. The next ones came at the speedy pace of one piece of meat every 20 minutes after that. Best I remember, there was not even any cooking utensiles or plates to eat off of. That kind of disorganized attempt at grilling will always result in a disaster.
I do find the idea of cooking on the grill less than appealing. Thus my call for volunteers:D . I figured if other folks wanted to do the cooking bit......I would supply the grille.
So the offer still stands.....if anyone wants to do the dirty work, speak up and I'll bring the grille.
As it stands now...Myself and Dennis are not doing the cooking or gathering of food.
Let's keep the post simple....if you don't want to cook or gather....don't respond. The assumption will be that if you don't reply on this thread...you are not wanting to cook. Only replies of the volunteer nature are desired.
If nobody replies....I will leave the grille at home...:D

Well....I really do hate it when Dennis predicts the outcome of a thread  .
Due to lack of support..............I don't have to load the grill on my trailer.
Thanks for the effort Mike....:tu: , but it looks like we are all going to be eating burgers cooked by Bubba the chef.
Actually....I am a little relieved I don't have to screw with the grill;) .
