thats a blown plug kenny kind of common from what i have heard with ford, you can try to have a new coil(heli)sp,place in there or get the head to a good shop and have them rethread it if its possible . and if all else fails you can always get new heads.

Wow! your circumstances seem oddly familiar...I have a 2000L almost exactly 2 weeks after my warranty ran out I popped a spark plug. I took it to the dealer (Texan Ford) to see if they could do anything for me, because if I was going to have the front the bill myself I was going to buy new performance heads. But as it turned out they sold me an extended warranty for the cost of $200 and covered the replacement of the new head under the new warranty. There are actually a few guys on here that have a similar situation and were sold the extended warranty after the fact but most of them paid $500. I'm guessing the reason that mine was cheaper may have been because I hadn't gone over my mileage yet and that I have used the same dealer from the first day I got the truck.

They definitely did me right.

I made a few phone calls yesterday. Vince from Texan Ford called me right back and they now have my L in their shop. Everything seems good so far, he did not ask a bunch af stupid questions as if I were the one to blame for the spark plug being blown out of the head, just insisted on me getting the truck up there so he could help me out. I thank everyone here for their knowledge and info with my problem especially since i am new here :tu: I will be eager to read how todays shindig went, wished i could have made it!!
