Will one of those go in a 2000 F150? Would i need to do any splicing. It already has an in dash cd player, but just not the 6 disc.

Anyone ever tried this?

Think I just found an OEM headunit that will support Sirius - that way my truck wont get broken into again -

I have not seen any OEM radios with pre amp (rca) outputs yet.

I traded a co-worker (has '03 Tu-Tone Harley F150) my stock clear tail lamps for his stock 6-disc indash.
It's in my 1998 Ranger now, simple swap. Same plugs too.

Thanks for the heads up. :)

I did an OEM swap but it was for the MP3 player instead. No pre-amps on it, so it was just a wire in job.. but I can put more songs on an MP3 disc than 6 reg CD's can hold, plus I still have the 6 disc working behind the seat.

Dana,

Does your behind-the-seat changer play MP3s with the Cobra head-unit or not?

Thanks,

Ronald

There is place in Carrollton called Omicron Electronics that can get you what ever OEM head unit you want ... They do the Ford dealer radio repairs

My head unit came out of a Mustang. I got it here

http://www.radiosandmore.com

except for the splicing into the new amp, etc. It would have been plug and play..

Ronald, the rear unit is stock and doesnt play MP3's. Wish it did.. Wouldnt it be nice to have 6 x 150 songs back there? But, I carry about 10 in the armrest plus have the 6 in back.. so there are plenty of tunes.. the best part about burning your own mp3's is that then only songs on them are the ones that you want..
