Remember to check your pads on occassion since they do not have squeal tabs. I would check them at the first 10K miles then every 5K. They should last 30-40K. You don't want to eat an EBC rotor:tu:

Terry,
I am thinking of doing mine since it is up for the winter. I would rather have you do it, but the drive is a bit far. Have there been any updates to the pads since you did mine? Remember boys, I was the first one to get 'em. I have to say, when I take someone for a ride and demo the brakes, it always gets their attention. Of course, this is after they pry their foreheads off of the windshield!! :evil

They made a green compound for the trucks which is a little better than the SUV pads for hot braking.

Dana,
I think you may want to have your brake system checked. ABS should not lock up like that.....;) .
Terry,
You can check mine when you get my front calipers ground down for my bogart front runners.........:evil

You are too funny. These brakes have saved my bacon out on the street more than once. Anyone that reads this thread should seriously consider having Terry do the upgrade for you... worth every penny and more.. IMHO.
One of the best first mods to do on your truck.. besides, I like the look on peoples faces when I hit em... :evil

Tim,
That is brake fade. Believe it or not, the factory brakes used to do that to me on darned near every pass. To be honest, my EBC's will do it on occasion, usually when I am having to lay on them a bit harder, such as at Hallsville where the track run off is so short. If I remember right, I believe I was told this happens due to heat and trapped gasses between the rotors and pads.
Dana...........:D .........your just begging for it here...LOL. That look people give you comes from them wondering why nobody ever schooled you on the proper method for applying the brakes in a modern automobile....:throw: .
