I'd like to, but there's this matter of employment and "discretionary purchases" . http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/bash.gif

I'm looking to assemble a flat-top HBAR AR similar to what Moonshine/L8APEX post on here - Dad keeps trying to talk me into 7.62x51mm (.308) versus 5.56x45mm (.223) for deer-hunting, etc.

Decisions...decisions. http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

I'm sure you could get parts pretty cheap at the gun show.

Nobody wants to go?

I have a Colt AR-15 that was given to me in 1997 when a famliy memeber past away. Its in a box and I have never shot it.Its not new but looks new.I dont know much about AR-15 and plan on selling it.What would be a price I should get for it? I was told it was A preban AR15. here some info on it.
It has a solid stock. Its longer version rifle I think? It longer than some of the short AR-15 I seen. Its a Colt .It has a muzzel on the end(Flash hider)? It has a high capacity magazine. It also has a nife attached to end of the rifle. Can I get atleast 400$ for it?

Need the exact Colt model number to tell exactly what you have and give you an idea of value, but the short answer is yes, it's worth more than $400.

Dang, I did not know so many people wanted a AR-15 rifle. I talk to the first email I got from member here.He was in Arlington, 10 mins from my house. After James look at the rifle, I told him I might wait till the end of the week to sell it since I got so many emails already and wanteds to get some more for the rifle.Well , he offered me 500$ to sell now.So Its sold. I probably could have got more from all the interest but I did not want to mess around with all the email and offers. Thanks evrybody, Goodluck with your rifle James

I'm leaving now for the gun show. I'm wearing an orange and white UT ballcap. Maybe I'll see somebody there.

All I can say is that was one small show. Prices were sky high and I walked the whole thing twice in an hour. Very disappointing.
I spent $6 to park and $14 for my wife and I to get in, another $14 on 2 cokes, hot dog and nachos and I bought an $8 mag spring. :bs

Yes, it sounds like this AR was a preban by the flash-suppressor and the bayonet lug. They go for approx. what Rocks mentioned.http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

You definitely need to know your prices at gunshows. You can get some real deals and you can also be taken...

Ft Worth convention center and Dallas Convention center shows suck! Dallas doesn't allow ammo in their building:hammer: . market Hall is the best show followed by Big Town second. Big Town is next weekend the 7,8th.
