My new toy I picked up at the Gun Show today!!! Springfield XD40 got it for a pretty good price at $375 Brand new in Box!! It OC green and Black

I guess I feel like the old man that is out of step.. I still have a Ruger 9mm revolver from over 10 years ago.. I guess the one thing I didnt want to have happen when I bought it was to have it jam when I needed it to shoot. But it seems that revolvers are out of step these days. At least the ammo used to be cheap, not sure anymore, havent used it in quite some time..

Dad has one of the Stainless "loaded" Springfield 1911s and it's one NICE .45 to shoot! I've found that my Colt 1911 Mark IV Series 80 Stainless is almost "sloppy" in comparison to shoot, but I'm thinking it's designed to be operated with mud/slop thrown at it like it's war-time predecessors.

Interesting safety ideas Springfield pulled from the Glock-trigger and the 1911 grip-safety.

As for polygonal rifling....Magnum Research / IMI introduced it in 1979.

I've got a buddy who has one and he speaks very highly of it. Never shot one personally, but gave one a strong look for concealed carry before I decided to go with a Kahr PM9 due to it's small size.
