I would build a custom tube chassis basically a full out ProMod drag car and set a Lightning body on it:tu: . You have to gut, chop, and rig a Lightning all to hell to get in the 9's.

there is only 1 9sec Lightning in the world and to my understanding its not really considered a "lightning" anymore....

I'll go ahead and call bullshit on this one......but I would love to be proven wrong. If you have video, post it up!

theres actualy a gen 1 thats faster than the given worlds fastest gen 2. But the gen 1 is over seas in one of those sand countries

I'll have to agree with True Blue Aggie on that. I'm smelling something too....especially since this is only your second post on the forum, and both on the same day.

there was a red G1 in flordia that was sold on ebay that ran low 9's, he had the time slip with the truck, thats the only one I have seen. and it was completely gutted, tubbed, and a straight up full out drag truck, also had twin turbo :eek2: , he sold it for 57,000 i believe

There are actually several Gen 1's running mid-low 9's. There were 3 or 4 at Lightning Fest alone. I watched one of them run a 9.44 at 144mph:eek:. A couple of them are from Oklahoma, maybe more. At any rate, they are some bad mother scratchers!

I remember ready that Johnny Lightning only got three runs out of his 9 sec. Gen 2. If you watch the video you can see him blow up the motor on a 9.88 1/4 run.

so for a 04 gen 2 to be in the tens and want to be in the 9's is hard for me to believe, but i would loved to be proved wrong when I see a slip or video

Rick James is dead. I think if Doug looks up the IP address, it will all make sense.
