i found a guy in Tulsa thats willing to drive down here next weekend and swap out my grille/headlights for his 03 clear headlights and stock grille for his...

Then i plan on getting with Larry and putting that chrome weather stripping or whatever on the front of the grille... I think the chrome grille and rims along with the clear headlights will be a nice new look.....

well its an ugly pic cuz its an ugly day outside and truck is dirty, but here is a quick snapshot of the new rims...

As far as the chrome grill trim, I think it may look a tad ricey, but I haven't seen it done before so who's to say. I like your current set up, but hey, that's just me.

Chris T. with a Sonic Blue one also has this on his truck. I saw his and Larry's and think both look really nice in person. :)

Larry, Jeff- Where did y'all get the adhesive chrome from??? How much did it cost??? I am going to do my grill the same way!
It looks kick ass, I think I'm going to paint my grill Black first though!

Thats why I was wondering about powder-coating plastic! I was going to take all the plastic molding off the L and have it all done Black! That would look so kick ass on my Red truck!

Plastic can be painted, the big three do it all the time. It's all in the prep of the item and the knowledge of the painter. There are some additives that go into the paint to help it stick and make it flexible enought to not crack on movable plastic. My grills are holding up just fine after six months with sonic blue.

You can find pics in my gallery since I still haven't figured out how to get them to pop up without showing just the link. :hammer:

my 99 grills are painted and still look good as when i got them painted a little over a year ago. Given the rock chips and alot of highway and long road trips.

Also scott ill pass you again if your uncle dosent come through.

I used 3/8" wheel molding from Pepboys. You need two packages at $10 each.

About how many feet does it require, or how many feet are in a package of that wheel molding? The reason I'm asking is I've got a line on some chrome adhesive molding it uses 3M two sided tape! I think I can get 60ft for around 40.00 so if any body else wants to do this let me know and I'll fin out for sure!

Each package has 20' and the usage is ~25'. Measure the grille if you need an exact number.
