did anyone see trucks today , there is a new truck coming from the folks at rousch(sp) been up to long . its an f 150 x cab made to look like a over grown mustang , the model they showed was white /black racing strips. listed as 405hp/45? torque,no price but im sure it will not be cheap. and they did say that the lightning was no more but gave it a great send off with a dounut burn out in a sonic blue .

But wasnt the new L projected to be a pig also? having gained 500 lbs in the form of the new F150, due to additions made from the current model? I say hold on to what you have because for the price, it is special. Right Doug?

glad to see someone knows the price and yep it is kind of f ugly, but then the new f 150 they used for the promo of the new lightning was to . and u do know that even anything ugly can grow on you like a rash. the hood and the chin strap look ok but since there in red its hard to tell.

The Lightning prototype had 100 more horsepower than the Roush Stage III, but you are right, it was a heavyweight. If you read the article, the truck ran only about 6/10 faster in the quarter mile than a Dodge Rumblebee. :hammer:

just saw the show and I liked it allot! They didn't mention the price but if it is 50k well thats not much more than most new trucks today anyway. I think I must go to the dealer and drive one for myself.

Whoo-hoo! 15.2 @ 89mph for $50k. My '94 L ran that bone stock. And we consider this progress?

Actually I like the looks of the truck, but this Roush falls short just like the Mustang versions do. Usually pretty cool cosmetics stuff, but weak performance.

I'm sure with a little re-tunning it could do much better. If they made it in the reg. cab flare-side version I would like it better.
