There were bullets flying everywhere, it is amazing only the Lion got hit.

And two of those were double rifles and they shoot bazooka size bullets.

I wonder what the Lions 1/8 mile times are :nana2

i tried to do a search but failed... lol

but i did find this info

The Cheetah does not just have a high top speed - it also has incredible acceleration, and can accelerate from zero to 80km per hour (50 miles per hour) in just 3 seconds.

not the same as Lion... but that cat is haulin it!!!

I'd seen that vid about a year ago, it pissed me off then and it does now.. That's almost as bad as the other one that Safari hunting adventures crew did where the animal was caged and they walked up and shot it. Then the fvckers pose next to them like some big shots...

It's a wonder someone wasn't shot/killed. http://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

Full-grown males (330 - 550 lbs.) can top-out at 36 mph.

Add'l info. from another site: http://www.zoo.org/educate/fact_sheets/savana/af_lion.htm

"Lions normally walk 2.4 miles per hour (4 kmh), but can run 29-35 miles per hour (48-59 kmh). They are also able to leap distances of up to 36 feet (12 m)!"

Looks like lions top out at 50mph.

I personally didn't know the Mongolian Wild Ass could run at a speed of 40 mph.

If you watch the video real closely, you'll see the lion get distracted by the guide on his left just at the last moment. Otherwise, the guy standing in the way would have been history. I don't know what the circumstances were with this particular hunt, but it would really be a shame to destroy such a magnificent animal just for pleasure. :(

Makes me sick - That was the closing speed of a Lion with at least one bullet it him that hit him hard enough to knock him down....
