O.K., I have an Xcalibrator with three tunes on it (thanks Terry!), and it seems to really work like a mofo. The truck really boogies now with the 4# pulley and the new plugs. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up before I use the 6# pulley. I'm really curious as to how much difference there is between the it and the 4# pulley. Anyway....

My first question is, I have the cable and power supply for the Personal Tuning Software, and I have downloded the software from sctflash.com. So, what do I have to do to be able to fine tune the programs installed on my programmer? When I connect everything to my laptop. it sees the programmer and its program files, but I can't seem to be able to do anything with them. Do I not have the right software, or am I just not bright enough to figure this stuff out?

Second question; I am curious about getting a data logger, and have seen the Raptor from SCT, and also the Auto Tap software. I think the Auto Tap package is cheaper, but will it provide enough information for me to make fine tuning decisions?

If anyone has any answers for me, I would appreciate it. I will call Terry and ask him if I have to, but I hate to bug him. He seems pretty busy most of the time.

Thanks!!!

You need a Raptor to tune with it samples a lot faster and uses the same units of measure the data. There is about a 20ft lb torque differnece between the pulley and about half the HP. Autotap, you get what you pay for. You need to send me an Email and I will send you the XTR files you need.

I have an auto tap I'll sell you for a hundred bucks. You will need a serial type connection on your lap top but like Terry says, the Raptor is better if you want to get real about tuning. The autotap is fine if you just want to check your parameters now and then or check for codes.

Let me know....

That personal tuning software is GREAT!!! I understand just about everything except the shift point, and converter lock-up parameters. I've just left that s#!t alone!

O.K., I have the files from Terry, but I can't seem to get anything to open. Is the software from the SCT website bad, or am I still missing something?

By the way, none of the tool bar options seem to work when I pull up the SCT program. Hmmmm....:hammer:

As it turns out, I just had to save the files to my desktop, them the program could access them from there. It seems to working just fine now! Thanks for the input, guys!
