I need HELP!!!!!

My computer at home has a major problem and I can't figure out waht happend. All that icons are larger than normal and when you open a new window it to is larger than normal. The window opens so large that it cuts some of what is supposed to be on it off.
This just happend a couple of nights ago. My wife was playing games on it and she called me in there becuase she said "it did something weird".(gotta love womans' discription of things) Any ideas?

right click an empty pat of he desktop choose properties

then click the settings tab

play with the settings there - specifically the resolution
