I recently had my cat’s replaced under warranty at a small dealership and the passenger side between the header and the cat pipe has developed a small leak. I tried to tighten it up yesterday but couldn’t budge it… argh.

The dealer will fix it no problem but they are 110 miles away so I want to make sure they’re ready for me… can anyone tell me if the cat pipe and the header use a gasket or no gasket. I want to give the dealer a heads up if they have to order a part.

Also, if anyone else has had this problem, what did you do to correct it?

Appreciate any input…

Just a press fit no gaskets, standard F150 parts.

Thanks Terry...

Then they just need to loosen things up a bit and then tighten it all back down... cool.

The dealer is east of Hillsboro so one of these times I need to stop by your place and check it out...

I am pretty sure the chip that is in my truck came from you... I bought it new from Tim Stanley... sound familiar?

Anyways... I have a small 2# pulley and a some other minor mods... once I get the exhaust leak fixed I'll be able to tell if it's knocking or not...

Normally a 2# doesn't need a special tune but I'd rather be safe...
