I called my glass guy and he said $150 for gen1 or gen2.
$150 at my shop or 20 bucks extra to come to your location, somtimes he travels for free?
This is PPG glass no Mexico cracking cheap stuff. We have already done Adam and Mike's if you want a reference.
His name is Riley and his cell # is 214 288 2917. He can help with all of your auto glass needs and knows how to treat a Lightning.

Terry, I'm in, I 'm about to get a replacement done due to a 9-10" crack. I have my new registration sticker I'm holding off putting on until I replace the windshield first. How soon ? Auto Glass Plus is about a c-note higher.

I am in too. My Missouri tags are up this month and I was about to have it replaced to get my Texas license. Of course, just last month I picked up a 2 inch crack that is now about 7 inches.
Do we get a better deal if 5 or 6 guys commit?
By the way do I have to have the sniffer test done on my truck since it is an 04?

I'm thru there on business at least once a week so give me the address and you get my money.

no sniffer. But when you go make sure to get a green sheet. It cost an extra dollar but you have to have it for registration purposes. If you have any problems and dont mind the drive bring it to me and ill inspect it.
I have never been charged extra for a green sheet, scam!:bs . I have bought many cars from out of state. All required green sheet and never paid extra.

My preferred installer had to run to San Antonio for a family emergency. I expect him to be back next week.

FYI for the tag sticker
Question: What should I do if my license plates are damaged or stolen, or I need to replace a windshield validation sticker? http://www.dot.state.tx.us/imglib/SPACER.GIFAnswer: You can obtain replacement license plates or validation stickers at the county tax assessor-collector’s office (http://www.dot.state.tx.us/vtr/tacoffices/tacoffices.htm). There will be a $5.30 fee.

We did the first two today at he shop. Derreck wants to schedule a time with another member sometime as well. I will post the techs phone later so you can coordinate directly with him. He also said he would do gen1's for the same price $150 cash deal.

Well, even though I missed the 11:30-whenever deadline Reilly worked me in over at his shop and did a great job!
He was super careful with my aftermarket wiper cowl which he had to take all of the screws out of and prop up to get the new windshield in. Done in about 30 minutes, good guy!
Thanks for the hookup Terry!

i just wanted to thank Terry for the hook-up on the windshield. i had it replaced about 2-3 weeks ago by his glass guy. it looks great, he did a excellent job! no water leaks and he didnt get that black windshield sealant all over my truck, in fact not even one little smudge anywhere and it only took him about 15 minutes. Once again thank you Terry!!!!! :tu:
