ok my dad has a 2001 red lighning with the only thing on the engine being a drop in k& n filter. hes going to start modding it in the near future and i would like to know a couple things, need to know the number for cervini, hes looking at one of their hoods and cant even find the web address, also any other websites with some sharp looking hoods?
How big of a shot of nitrous will the stock lightning motor take with out being close to harming it. and also were looking at getting a chip and would like to know some choices and some web addresses,
Its alot easier to find performance options for neons and it shouldnt be and im probably looking in the wrong places. Just need to know whats out there so we can make a good informed choice. also what are the best performance orientated lightning websites otu there, ive found psp and thats about it. thanx in advance for helping to make a fellow lightning owners experiences better.

I am the local Lightning tuner and will answer any questions you have just give me a call:tu: I carry Cervini's hoods also. If you order direct from Cervini's $439 they take a month to ship and 125$ truck freight:eek2: My price to members is 460 pick up. I have a model 129 a 3" cowl hood new-in-box if he wants that style today, or I can order a model 130 ram-air. The last order only took two weeks or so. As for the NOS it depends on if you are going to run a lower pulleys or not. Stock trucks can eat 125 without a problem. Most important thing for NOS is plugs and computer tune..

ohh so ya think just because i have a neon its not fast? a nice little turbo and intercooler on one and youd be surprised, althoguh actually its getting a 2.4 soon so rebuild time

Whoa there, no need to get all offended. Just a fact. Neons get good gas mileage, but drag race monsters they aren't. Unless you throw massive cash at them, in which case *any* car can be a drag race monster.

Hey Terry, serious question, what is your best run? I started thinking about it and don't remember you coming drag racing with us, at least the times I have been(admittedly not all). I know you rule MSR, but just never seen yer 1/4 time.

Just curious...

Yeah with my brick house stiff road racing suspension drag racing is a lost cause. I did cut a 13.15 @ 108 with a 2.25 60' in April or whenever we got rained on during a Saturday. If I changed the suspension for drag and got some tires it should be low 12's with over 400rwhp and 108mph traps. I just don't care enough to mess with setup as it serves my purposes well :tu: Maybe I can go to Hallsville this fall loosen up the 12 way shocks and 1.5" sway bar and dig me some 12's:D
