The only one I kow of that is truely functional is the "shaker" style hood. The cervini's dual ram brinf in some fresh air to the engine compartment but also a lot of dust and dirt

The toughest part about making a ram air hood functional is getting it high enough to actually work as a ram air. It needs to be just above roof level in our trucks, otherwise the air just flows right over the top of it.

THey can claim it based on the fact they're inducting fresh air, but ram air is a bit of a misnomer and doesn't really work as advertised.

Hey, I may come off as a know-it-all online (alot like many of us), but in truth I just want to *be* right--if I"m wrong, I expect people to correct me and tell me WHY I'm wrong. *IF* I believe their assertions, and their proofs, then I'll change my mind (and it's lots easier than it sounds).
Ask ANYONE who's met me in person, I'm actually a hella lot humbler in person, and I just want to know the truth.

Not to worry Tex...I really was just telling you I agreed with you in a non-metrosexual way,(read...I am not a sensitive girly guy and I say stuff as crudely as possible so as not to give the impression I could plug in either way)...
