I think Wes knows when more is not really a better thing. He has a beast that is controllable today... there is a reason why both owners wanted to get rid of it.

Now if I just find that lottery ticket I bought in Rockwall the other day!

It's a beautiful car, and no doubt _capable_ of 9.5s on slicks with an aggressive driver, great launch and a drivetrain that will handle it. I don't think this guy has ever actually gone 9.5x with it.

I rode in several 427 TT cars before deciding on the kit I have. The standard 427 setup utilizes the same turbos that my setup has, so the turbos really become the limiting factor in peak airflow. IOW, with the boost turned up my car can make just as much peak HP as the 427 can. However, the 427 makes lots more low and mid-range TQ, so its average HP is higher. I think they let them leave the shop at ~650rwhp/675-700rwtq under warranty. Should be good for over 140mph through the traps with any kind of traction and that would be deep into the 9s as well. :)

On street tires, I would be happy to race one of those to ~120mph. Like he mentioned, it just spins the tires into 4th gear. One of the ones I rode in... we were on 190 doing ~75-80 in 3rd and then punched it and it just busted the tires loose big time. Mine doesn't do that. It actually accelerates.

If I could get my 0-20mph times down, I would run 10s on my street tires. It actually hooks from a 20-25mph roll on going full throttle. :D

I have to wonder what the reserve is on that car. It's at 88k and hasn't been met yet. ???

i hate it when i spin with a 40punch... wow, 100+ and still spinnin...

i bet if he put some wings on that thing it would fly!!! i love those cars so much, i dont have any plans for the immediate future as i have to keep saving.... but my next car WILL be a z06 (hopefully c6 z06 one day)

Yep... on stock F1 Supercar tires, mine spins 'em into 3rd gear at ~80-85. That's why Nitto DRs are the only street tire of choice for me.
