Oh lighten up you old farts......the wheels would be really great for racing either Autocross or even drag, just because of the weight loss and the structural features of the carbon fiber. I could see a set on my truck (of course that is after I find the money to buy them..)

ya imagine 32lbs for all 4 wheels.... thats like half of what 1 wheel weights....

Now I bet if HRE or Boyd came out with carbon fibre wheels everyone would be drooling over them.

Theres no originaltiy in rims and Lightnings anymore. Everyone has to have HREs, boyds, or the stock rims done in black with a polished lip. If you look through all the L galleries on all the forums pretty much everyone has the same rims. Only time i see someone go out side the comon rim choices is when they go to 20s and want alot of bling.

Thats because the style of the stockers is already darned good... I like the carbon fibre look but these just dont do it for me.. I have chrome stockers that Terry hooked me up with.. thanks Terry.. I love them, I do agree though that those HRE's that Rob had were some of the most beautiful wheels man has ever made..

No, not here! I could care less what brand they are. I thing they are just upgly. But just my opinion. let the buying public decide, if they actually buy them.

Damn.. now I'm wondering why we haven't seen CF wheels in racing yet, ESPECIALLY Formula One!! THAT would be the ONE place where you'd expect to see them, if they were viable (or allowable).

Beyond that, if they hold up and can take the stresses, they'd be great for racing or show--forget daily driving, tho, one curb check and you'd be crying over shards of CF in your hands. :( And, at $3000 (or is it $1500) per wheel, that's damned pricey for something that vulnerable.

i think they are ugly as is, but i like Mikes idea of painting them... if they were painted a grey color like our stock rims, but only weighed 8lbs...
