Terry do you think you can hook me up with some new slicks in time for the TMCC on Sunday? I really had not planned on getting new slicks for a while but damned it the racing bug isn't biting me in the ass.

Do you get them at any sort of Discount tho ? I may be ordering some wheels from them and I got prices from them already. If they give it to you cheaper, I'd rather buy them through you and give you some pocket change.

Brent gives the L club members the discount. You just deal directly with him and he will do his best to earn and keep your business. You'll just have to give me money or preferably food another time:tu: .

I think that I need 28" real slicks, I think the 26" MT ET streets are un-acceptable now. What do you recommend? Part numbers? Hoosiers?

The most common and affordable fun is Hoosier 28x10x16 C07 compound. Those are the largest you can easily bolt on and run 10" tire class. I say they are good for mid 11's. Once you make MORE power and go for 10's I say spend the money and time and go 30" tall on a 15" rim. The pain in choice 2 is to run 15's is the custom wheels and grinding the calipers down to clear. Nobody makes a 30" on 16 rim currently. The 30 on a 15 gives you a LOT more sidewall to flex and bite track!

I think the rims + tires ran us 650 back in the day. FYI

Even with 3.55 gears and stock converter?

Mark............the advantages are related more to the fact that you get more bite having a 15" wheel with a 30" tire than you do a 16" wheel sporting the 28" tire. Also consider the slight advantage of having 10.5" instaed of 10" footprint.

It would be a tough call. If you are going KB and cammed motor you could probably break 28's loose off the line. 3:73's are not that far away on the mod list are they:D . Like I said you can throw 28's on there quick and easy and sell them off later. If you are going for top truck ET's and a cammed KB truck I would go Bogarts and 30's. Recreational 28's, Professional 30's.

Well as we all know I have the KB, stock block, but the short block on the stand will get ported heads and cams, then I will need need a convertor and trans(maybe already need one). I think that gears are a function of HP so I am staying with 3.55.

I have 26X11.50 MT ET Streets and I can't get them bitches to hook up for sh!t !!! They worked good on my Trans Am but I think it's just too short a tire for this heavy truck!
I will certianly be going with the Hossier 28X10's when these wear out!
