Finally got settled into the Round Rock area to the point where my 03 Taurus beater I've been driving for the winter finally started bugging me with it's existence...

So, I went on the hunt and won THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4531987348) auction yesterday...

Yep, a 280 mile, never titled, still in the showroom, 04 Caddy CTS-V for the killer price of $41.6k....Has a window sticker of $52k... Can't complain about that deal...

It'll make an excellent beater for the next 6 months or so... ;)

Seeing as how Ford has entirely nothing even remotely interesting to buy right now except maybe Terry's pimpin' F250, but that ain't my style currently, I got's to be bling bling and pimpin' it real... Yo yo yo biatch.

Hey I resent that. The wife's Villager, we owned that for 2 years... ;) ...and I haven't done a damn thing to the Taurus... Oh wait... It's a taurus, you can't do anything to it... Well hmph!

My vehicles, ummm, I'm lucky to make it 12 months, hell...6 months is a stretch most of the time...

...and dboat's right, I actually enjoyed the SVT Focus and never had ANY trouble with it. For the money, it's a sweet ride... Underpowered and overvalued, but sweet none the less...

Aside from the wheel-hop thingy, folks I talk to on the CTS-V love the thing...

The wheel hop is HOR-ID! It comes in #1 in worst axle/wheel hop in a performance vehicle ever! It makes an okay putter but they are heavy, under sprung, dampened, powered for the weight and are not worthy of Logans garage.

You know me... If it's a POS, it'll be in and back out inside 3-6 months tops... Besides, SRT-8's will be shipping by then, might want to try one of those POS's out too before heading back to truckville. :tu:

Still, I think its a cool car. Not a drag racer, but how many times are you going from a dead-stop against someone when driving around... unless you're into dedicated street-racing where you stay out til 3am on Saturday night at the local hangout? And if you do that, then just get a solid axle Fox Mustang or F-body, mod it, and gear it for the 1/8th mile. Take all your $$ winnings and go buy something else for your daily commute.
