As some of you might know from my old thread in nloc.net my mufflers on my G1 are going out, I was just about to buy new ones, but was wondering if in Texas we even need them(I like loud)? Im almost 100% sure we do but I thought I might as well ask. Thanks alot!! :burnout:

Yes, you must have mufflers to pass state inspection!

i think the age limit is 20... cars 20 and older dont require any exhaust... so would have to be a 1985 or older car....

Thanks alot for the answers, but I have another question I need to get my truck inspected some time this month and when I do should I take off my Home made CAI, or can I leave it on?

leave it on... its all done through computers now and air filter aint gonna do anything...

actually his will have to go through the sniffer, its only on 96 and never that they go through the pcm

and its 24 years or older vehicles that don't have to pass smog test, just horn, head lights, turn lights
