I've always heard the trick to put Pam in the wheel wells to keep tire rubber from sticking. I did this for the first time last week on Thursday. I don't know if this works or not, but I know I really messed up by not washing it off immediately and let it go without washing it off for a week.

I didn' really think about it until today. The truck was looking really nasty and I noticed a dark yellow tint over the area where the Pam got on the paint. Went to clean it and the residue was like hardened glue and it took about 3 heavy coats of bug and tar remover and a heck lot of elbow grease to get it off, much worse than if I would have just had to clean the rubber chunks off.

Oh well, you live and you learn...just thought I would share the experience.

You must have used the butter flavored Pam. :hammer:
I have never been able to get all of the rubber off of my truck so I can't talk on this, but I've seen some guys use the blue painters tape to keep rubber off of the paint.

I have used Pam many times on the exterior body panels, no problem, but I usually rinse it off with in a week.
