How hard is it to drop gas tank???

Guy's I need help! I came home from the races tonight to find my truck had been jacked with! I left it parked at my work, which is back door to my house, and when I pulled in I noticed that the fuel door was open and the gas cap off. Now, I don't know if the people were just stealing gas becuase it was really low and wouldn't show any different if they had stole some, or someone put something in my gas tank! There are alot of really jealous teenages down here where I live that would love to see my truck F'd-up! I looked in the filling spout to see if I could see anything and did find a little bit of dirt (maybe from the siphoning hose) but that was it.

Do you guy's think I should drop the tank to make sure some idiot didn't put sugar in my tank or something, or am I just overreacting? I know I'll be trying to find a locking gas cap tomarrow!

I'd drop it just in case.

Be sure as much fuel is out of it as possible......a lot less weight that way

or just pull the bed off. Few guys can lift it off.

well from what I heard, its impossible to sifon gas out of our tanks... so if that was their plan... they didnt succeed

Well me and a buddy droped the gas tank today and THANK GOD, there wasn't any sugar in it! I guess they just wanted some free gas.

Scott you are right, there is a plastic type screen about half way down the filler pipe that prevents the hose from being inserted to far in the tank . If the tank was completly full then they could get some out but not all of it!
