Anyone got the Mag. #15714 Exhaust?I am thinking of installing 2 1/2 x 4 X18 stainless chrome plated exhaust tips.Anyone do that here?Look good? The ones on there are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 16 and they dont stick out far enough. The 18"s should get them where i want them.I found some for 70 bucks each.Really hard to find s.s. chrome plated that size. :eek2:

Beau,
I've got that Magnaflow exhaust on mine and I like it. No, they don't stick way out. But its not recessed far back either. I'm not sure I'd want mine sticking out 2" farther than they are now, but that's just me.

Oh, ok. That makes sense. Mine is the same as Dana's... stock Magnaflow setup. 2" longer tip would allow you for some adjustment to your taste, though.

Thanks to Terry for pointing out the angle difference, which is 30 degrees on the original set, i ordered 2 1/2 in X 4 out X 24" long with a 45 degree cut.Thats all they had, so i will wrap the tips with masking tape and chop saw them to the correct angle 30 degrees.I don't want my truck to look "CHEESY". :bows :tu:

The Magnaflow is 15 not 30degrees. Once you cut it the chrome will flake off rapidly. Good luck with it though.

Mine must be a hybrid, its 30 degrees. The red line on the template matches the tips perfect and its 30 degrees.I will need to cut the pipes about 33 degrees to square them to the side of the truck. You had to rub the chrome flaking in! Well see.It sucks you pay 500 bucks for an exhaust and have to modify it to be right.Maybe magnaflow will see this thread.

My tips came in and they are on.They moved a bit while welding but still looks O.K.The fwd. pulled back and the rear dropped down.I ordred 2 1/2 in and got 2 3/4 . Heck of a gap to fill. The cut angle was 26 degrees. The 4 inch outlet is great for easy cleaning!
