Only about 9,000 miles away from you guys. Finished up in London yesterday and just got here today, and man-o-man what a different place! I'll post up pics when I take some, as my colleageand I are going to take a tour of the emperor's palace tomorrow. This place is friggin hot and humid as all hell (like Dallas in August), but the the greenery is quite nice. And I have witnessed truth in the myth, ricers really do exist in Asia! I've seen a few fartpipe'd cars around here on my trip from the airport, so it is not just a North American thing! :rll:
Anyway, it's been a long couple of weeks and I am definitely ready to come home.
I'll post some pics later. Gonna see if I can get a nice 120-min full body message. 1500 Baht (about $37 :D ). Catch you later....

It's not that bad, although mixing the heat versus the humidity here makes it feel pretty close to hell. I haven't found the counterfeit goodies yet, cuz the only Oakley shades and watches I have found are double what they can be bought for in the US. You can get some pretty inexpensive silk and some jewelry here, tho. Spending sh!tloads, that's for sure. People seem to really enjoy shopping here.
By the way, I stick out like a sore thumb around here. I tower over most everybody, and easily outweigh almost every person I have seen or met by 100+ lbs. If we wanted this country we could take it :d .
Downloading pics now.

What about the women? Whats true and not true?
Many "westernized" women. Very formal, and many very beautiful. Haven't come across any "friendly" women yet, so I'm not sure if that holds true.
From the look of it I outweigh most Thai women by at least 150 lbs. :d I must look like Godzilla to them...

"Bobbies" at Buckingham Palace in London (by the way, they didn't like being called "bobbies", though they are wearing thier "bobby hats")

By the way, after my trip to the Grand Palace I got a 1-hour massage for about $30. I think I'm going to have to do that again before I leave.

Happy Ending?
Cheap massage-wise, yes. These things cost $80+ in Dallas! No extra-curricular activities...this was done through the hotel I'm staying at.
