Went to the Dallas Auto show yesterday AM. Pretty good show. Pics in my gallery. Some of the more interesting things;
A Volvo XC90 made out of Lego's. Yes, really Lego's.
The new Z06 :tu: . Hatchback rather than a coupe.
The Cadillac XLR-V.
Dodge Ram Daytona (ripoff of the '70 Charger Daytona).
New BMW M5 :D .
Chevy's engine dyno.
Saleen S7 (probably the best looking supercar).
Aston Martin's (all under car covers so we couldn't see them) :Bullshit
The Lexus Daytona Prototype V8, which I would swear has a carburetor AND fuel injection rails. Somebody 'splain that to me?
Unfortunately, no "spokemodels" were there when I was because the show wasn't open to the public. :(

Cool pics. I hadn't seen a silver '06 Z06 yet. Looks great.
The Volvo Lego car is cool. Guess some people have an incredible amount of time on their hands.
The Lexus race motor ... nothing wrong with that in my mind. It's just got a big throttle body on top of it and yeah, it may be some sort of modified carb intake manifold, but that's not atypical. Single plane intake with rather short runners is perfect for high rpm applications.

I think you mean coupe, the old Z06's were base hard tops. They made a coupe which you own, a roadster which I call a convertable, and hard top models.

Jeff and I were talking about going at some point tomorrow. He had some stuff to tend to in the AM, so I figure we'll probably head out there around mid afternoon or so. Holler at me around lunch time and I'll let you know....

Yup, you're right.
The only SVT prototype that I saw was the same silver Gen III L. that's been on the circuit for awhile. :(

I think this a record late post for you in TALON history:eek2: . I am going to relax a little this weekend. It has been a hard week. I will either go camping down by the river, or shoot a tactical match:tu: . Later!

Good stuff right there! I had hoped to go myself, but we trained on Thursday and there's no missing that.

i was there today. one thing i noticed about that particular concept svt gen 3 is that it didnt look like it had a drivetrain in it, and the exhaust ports looked plastic fake without any staining. Also the next year HD pick up will be NA 3v 300 hp extended cab.
