Who wants me to have their hood painted? I can drop them off at David's Paint and Body in South Arlington. You can have them installed there or pick them up and DIY. Paint can be a picky bastard of a thing so I won't say much else about it. 1) Rocks..

No ****....I was thinking the same thing. Be sure and add something for your troubles Terry. If you don't...let us know so we can take care of you. Your labor alone is worth more than 50 bucks...IMHO.....but I will adjust upwards appropriately.

A "good deal" don't mean sh!t to me if you are out of business when I need you.

I just talked to Terry and he has the hoods! He said to get with him ASAP and either come pick them up or let him know if you want him to take them to the painters. He wants them out of the shop so that they dont get banged up.

You were right Davids Paint remembered Robs truck and said $500 each:eek2: . I will call a few other places but I ma leaning towards having the hood owner arrange his own paint guy. I have learned from experience most folks are too picky about paint to coordinate such a thing. I will get Ron's done as I know he doesn't care how it comes out:D . Adam is also volunteering his hood:tu: . Mike and Tim are getting theirs done elsewhere. Keynan Red is a must for blending to the truck as it is a mother of a color to match. The blacks are easy and the metallics are difficult as well.

I can vouch for David's work, as it was top notch. I was beyond pleased(and most of you know how anal I am when it comes to my trucks.) Clark Bros. Paint & Body, across the street also does excellent work. They painted Lawrence's Red Cervinis' Cowl, and that sucker looked like glass!:eek2:

I'd be willing to bet that Clark Bros will be in the same neighborhood as David's in terms of dinero. When you take into account the prep work involved, materials, blending and labor, done RIGHT.......$500 bucks is a good, fair deal, for all involved, IMO. Don't forget, the underside of those hoods looks just as good as the top!:tu: Just my lil' .02;)

Walker Paint in Body in Irving, my hood is up there. He told me around $600.


Terry is the only one I'll let mod/tune my truck, Keith Walker is the only one I'll let paint my truck.

Alright, I broke down and took it to a place called Victory Inc. Paint & Body at Kingsley and Shiloh. I sure hope I didn't just make a big mistake. Anybody ever have any dealings with these guys? The price was right though $275 with blending

Davids told me 5-600 for the hood painted and installed and the fenders blended. Additional 300 for the front bumper fixed. (if you have seen my truck you know what I'm talking about)

Clark Bros $591 for the hood installed and fenders blended. 200 extra for the front bumper work.

I think that if we take a few hoods to one spot we may get a little better deal.

i found Clark bros to be real nice and helpful and do good work. they painted that fuel door for me and the guy (scott) was super nice... he only charged me $20 for the fuel door

I am definitley not the King of Bling around here, but I think it looks good. What is it I would look for in paint work? Maybe it's better I don't know. The only issues I would have, would be with orange peel...and paint runs.
