Ten Second Run

:banana: :banana: :banana: We finally got the truck to run it's first 10 second run. It may have been a little more costly than I wanted though. I did it during qualifying after running multiple low elevens for the 2 days before. The track let me get away with one more run under 11.5 and then took a great big sh!t on me...:eek: LOL. They told me if I run one more pass under 11.5, I was gone...done...kicked da fock out. The problem this created was trying to get my truck dialed for an 11.5 run...without going under. Anyway...I got beat in the first round Sunday, since running .25 over your dial isn't good enough to beat anybody...LOL.

Screw it....It was worth it.

The problem I have now...which really shouldn't be a problem, is I can't get away with it again. Untill I get a cage, no more sub 11.5's for me at FFW. These guys are patient at first...but ramp up the level if you just keep doing it.

Yep Gavin.....I went ahead and let them slap some QA-1's on it. It was a money back warranty. If they no worky....I no pay...LOL....they worky:D ...so I paid.

The truck launches like a different animal now. Trying to run a 10 with the H.P./Torque it takes to make tens on stock shocks is next to impossible. I suppose if you got the HP up enough...you could make up for sh!tty 60's...but it is wasting power to do it that way.

I am still learning...my 60's will get into the 1.5x's within a few more weeks as I get better at rolling into the throttle.

It's funny. You just go to the track one day and all of a sudden your doing 10's.
Howard and I got to thinking about the different levels we had gone through to get to 10's. We actually got more excited over hitting 12.36 than we did 10.96. It happened in Houston 2 years ago at an FFW event. We where hopping around like a couple loons over a 12.36. Andre had been making fun of me for what I gapped my plugs at just before we ran 2 tenths quicker than him....LMAO. I guess my gap was about right.

You fellers may not know this, but HRP always runs about 2 tenths quicker for me than Ennis. Ya'll should think about going. It is always fun there.

Well im glad the Qa1's worked out for you, they are definite bang for the buck mod. any better shocks and you start dumping some serious doe. and better yet they are rebuildable. also ron, on your metco's if you find a setting on them that works rather well, take a paint marker and mark the spots on them. then you can further experiment without fear of loosing that sweet spot.:twitch:
