I have a 1999 lightning. We are trying to finish the truck for Showfest in Greenville Miss.I have a polished blower on the way.I have the steel braiding figured out.I cannot find matching pulleys top to bottom.I have been told they don't exist.I should pull mine and have them chromed. With less than 30 days and rub out it won't work.I have to have the truck movable to complete.HELP any ideas would be appreciated...

This may sound cheap but since you are in a time crunch you might want to try pulling the pullies and spray painting them chrome and then when you get back from the show having them chromed. I know that this is cheap with the money you have already spent on this but it might help in a pinch. I have also looked for a set of matching chrome pulleys, upper and lowers, and they do not exist. I was also told that I would have to have mine chromed if I wanted it.
There is a place in California that does the chroming and they take 2 to 3 weeks to get completed. If I can think of the name or if I can find their website I will let you know.

I have an extra set of two idler pulleys that were polished. They aren't chrome like quality finish but don't look bad. Put some "mothers" on them and they should show fine.

Flatsman has a machinist in Tampa that was making stainless steel pulleys for the Ls. The looked very good!
