I am not that crazy! The Kenne Bell 2.2 will work out nice for a street truck as long as the boost is kept down low around 8 lbs. I would really like to see what this motor would do with a D1SC Procharger! I think Terry will be getting all this stuff in about two weeks!

This engine is in the back of the White Gen2 waiting to go to see Terry! Tobbun will take the Gen1 over at the same time to leave it off and everyone will head home in the Gen 2 and let Terry do his magic. Tobbun did a hood swap with BC Lightning yesterday so we have to get the Cervinis Ram Air painted white. The 1 3/4 Pickrel Long Tubes are already at Terry"s place and Performance Reasearch will be building a bullit Proof Tranny. That is the latest on the project!

that should definitly haul some buns, what rods and pistons? i would assume all arp hardware?
Flats Man

cpeapea, This stroker is a little unusual in that it is running 6.250 rods on an internally balanced crank. The only pistons that we could find were Kieth Black -25.8 cc dish which give us a pretty high compression ratio of 9.402 to 1! The crank, flex plate and damper have been balanced to 0 so it could take some rpm if I go to a different blower later! Right now we are planning to shift at around 5200 rpm and will be running about 8 lbs of boost initially. I plan to instal a Snow Performance stage 2 water injection kit on it to make up for not having an intercooler! It should be mid 12's with some 1.7? 60 foot times. If I put a D1sc Procharger on it later, then it will be a pretty scary truck! Thanks for your interest!

That's going to be sweet! Glad to see its coming together. :)
It will run mid-12s easily. My stock block '94 with a wimpy 7-8psi A-trim Vortech ran 13.4 @ 103. Your truck will make a lot more power than it did...and the average HP/TQ will be far superior with the KB blower vs. the Vortech.

Nice motor Flats. Add 125-150 shot to the mix and you'll drop those 60's times. You'll also find yourself looking for someone to put in a cage.;)

Hey Terry, I don't think I have the b-lls to sit in that thing with a 125 shot on top of everything else! lol I did excelerate to 110 mph in two seconds in a simulated drag car in Orlando and I am not sure I have recovered from that yet!
Here is a picture of the Oreo Hood for Ivanhoe! It will be painted white when the truck goes to Terry.

I have been out of town for a week and just got back yesterday. I think things are going to start happening toward the end of this week. I believe the short block and your transmission are being taken to Terry at the end of the week. Those two items are in the back of the White Gen 2. I think the Gen 1 will be delivered at the same time. Sounds like Terry is a busy boy!!

Thanks to Sixpipes, Terry got the short block and Ivanhoe's tranny on Thursday! Sixpipes also put new carpet in Moonshine's old Gen2 so the truck swap should happen in about 1 week.
Wes, I will try to get that 4R100 out of your way very soon. I appreciate your patience and understanding. So, it looks like we will be going for a Kenne Bell 2.2 on the 408 stroker with a Snow performance water injection kit hooked up to some kind of magic 4r100 transmission! If anyone can pull this off, I guess it would be Terry and Jimmy! Mr Hogg wants us to spray it and put in a roll bar but I am content to let him be the Gen1 King! I am too old for that kind of stuff! lol That is everything that I know and that I think I know!

Just an update on Bluto! I have been gone for almost the whole month of July and the first week of August but Terry has my old engine out of the truck and Sixpipes is going to pick it up soon and it will go into Ronnie's truck as is! If every thing stays the same, they will probably be dropping in about 370 HP into his truck with the Powerdyne blower!
Bluto is being put together Naturally asperated because I have changed my plans and that is the way I will run the Truck at Lightning Fest 2005! I will be putting the KB on Tobbuns truck along with some other trick stuff and we will be putting his truck up to about 400 at the wheels! Bluto is getting a set of Fox Lake TFS high Port Stage 111 heads which should be at Terry's right now and I will be going for a different blower on that truck. I am looking at a Procharger D1SC Intercooled. An F1 is not out of the question and we will probably cage it. After Lightning Fest 2005, Bluto will come out to my shop in Florida and will be built this winter for Lightning Fest 2006.
That is the latest on Bluto!

Terry will make it no problem! I will need to put some miles on it and get a few oil changes done before I drop the hammer. The reason I decided to put it together naturally asperated is that I don't have a fuel system that would support this motor in blown form. It will be fun to bracket race it without the blower! It is coming back to Florida and it will get a braided fuel system this winter.

Curious to know why the boxed upper? I always thought the GT40 was good for the torque on these trucks not that the 408 will need any extra help.
Also what heads are on the truck and does Fred plan to had a huffer in the future?
Flats Man
10-04-2005, 02:46 PM
The heads are TFS High Port Sage 3s. Intake valves are 2.085 can't remember the exhaust and the chambers are 70 cc so my N/A compression is about 9 to 1. I am currently dealing on an 88 mm turbo kit. I will have to change out the cam and my new long tubes if I do the turbo thing as the current cam has way too much duration. Just thought I would do the box for something different!
If I go blown, I will be looking for a procharger D1R or an F-1. I have a stock block in this thing so I will tune for around 600 rwhp max. We will be adding 60 lb injectors and a fuel system upgrade when the power adder comes on board.

The Calvert 408 is alive and well! Right now it is running N/A on 30 lb injectors. I think if the idle is turned down a little, the cam will lope more than it does in the video! It has a pretty big cam in it. Enjoy!

I like them to snort and hump and belch and kick the doors down at idle but go smooth when you bury the pedal!

Pull the engine, that thing needs a bigger cam in it, sounds like a pussy cat or something --- something with 312 or so duration and .640 lift.
needs to shake the whole truck or something at 1500 RPM idle:cool:
