Anyone have or know of a glass top or red roof panel for an '04 C5 vette for sale? My wife had small problem with her red roof panel ejecting while driving my son to school this morning!:hammer:

LOL, How did you guess Billy? The bad thing is, this is the 2nd vette with a removable top that my wife has owned/driven!:hammer: She feels pretty sick about it.
Mike, yeah, they are only about $1200 bucks or so......:eek2:

I also own a 98 model C5. We're on our second top due to the tint peeling and flaking. :(

The glass is supposed to be tinted. Its not supposed to be tinted like your normal side windows are with the film tint. I deal with vettes often and never seen one that the glass was tinted with film

The smoked tops have a tendancy to flake. My wife drove her Vette through a car wash one time and one time only.
The roller brushes burned the top. The top is really made of plastic or plexiglass (spelling).
The second top started peeling in it's own two years after purchase.

Larry, my wife still can't believe she forgot to latch the top down, either!

It would've been worse had she got caught in hail yesterday afternoon.

Oh, I dont really care. I would probably take $350. The weatherstripping is pristine and has zero leaks. It does has a small (2 inch) crack in the lexan near the corner, but you cant see it from inside because its near the edge and is covered up by the frame of the top. I have yet to see a top that didnt have a crack of some sort for under $550. It does not spread and was stopped as soon as I noticed it.
