I never understood how people call those flames...
Weak repetitive tribal stencils ..... But not flames

The way that I see it, you only have room to criticize if you can do better.
example = the dude that paints for Orange County Choppers, he can criticize.:throw:
Next I will just e-mail you the pictures Scott. I thought that this would be faster and easier, but I guess not.

This is a forum. Its where we share our opinions.
My comments were not specific to those flames but all flames like them.
Just like everyone else Im entitled to an opinion.
In my opinion these are better flames.

My opinion is based on experience - Ive seen different kinds of flames painted and Ive seen the results - Some simply dont impress me.
Dont take it personal - You didnt paint them.

Jacobs "friend" is the one that painted my Cervinis cowl hood. He does awesome work. Also, all those paint jobs were done by hand with no stenciles, I cant believe someone can do that by hand its very impressive. I think that is why Jacob said what he did because you made an assumption that it was weak stencile work. Too bad he didnt have enough time to paint all of the cowl hoods on the group buy.

Even the killer paint guy uses a pattern to air brush around - the flames originally posted also use a pattern

If they can do that free hand that is truly impressive
My concern is that is seems that many many people do the same designs that all look the same to me. Very cookie cutter looking .. To me.... But then Im not putting flames on my truck or painting them myself so according to some here I dont get an opinion

I like them all.I have always liked a nice custom paint job.I have had ghost flames on a corvette. If I had it to do over the flames would stand out more.I think the best are the 2nd and 3rd picture.

Didn't look like a Lightning to me. Had a bench seat and other non-Lightning looking stuff. He was running about stock Gen I times at 15.2X.

My guy does it all by hand. No Stencils at all. He truely is a talented guy. I will get a video of him doing it and post it up. I also have a guy that can do the real flames. He tatooed up my buddy Nates chopper. All free hand.
