I guess they figured since the majority of folks only run one, they may as well only make one :)

I would think the revenue those bastards were generating would override the cost of making them by far. Last time I got one it was a $57 ticket, not to mention it opens the door for them to hit you with other stuff once they get you pulled over.

So, they will raise the registration fee AND only give you one plate. Sigh...

I'll still take it, though I have been running one plate since last September with no problems yet...

I will continue to run one plate on all my cars......I've gotten two tickets for it, one was thrown out. I'd say in 7+ years in Tx, only 2 tickets for it isn't bad at all.

I have been pulled over for it several other times tho.....they were always looking for something else to ticket you for....the front plate is just their way to justify pulling you.

I have only been running 1 plate since I started driving almost 6 years ago. I have only been pulled over once (in my Mustang), but some jerk rear ended me while I was being pulled over, so he let me off with a warning.

Presuming it makes it through the conference committee, then past the Senate, and then past the Governor. It's still a good ways from becoming law.
