I am considering expanding my business offerings with an enclosed car trailer. I have had a few inquirys lately from out of town customers on logistics. They want me to do the work but commercial auto transport is a little on the excessive side. This could also work for semi local cusotmers that would rather pay for the convenience of pick up and delivery instead of fighting traffic and arranging for a ride back home. I am thinking of the customers in Denton, McKinney, Plano, Burleson, Argyle, San Antonio, Lubbock, Weatherford.. That is one aspect of having a shop trailer.

I could also offer race support for customers/the club wanting to set their truck up at the shop and be ready to race. No having to drive to Hallsville with all of your slicks and tools in the bed hoping you don't break something that far away from home. It would be a nice place for shade/command post for club track events. I am just trying to grow and offer more to my cusotmers. But it takes your support to make this growth a success. Post up if you would be interested.

Terry,

Always thinking of yer buddies! knana That would be a pretty cool deal...I still need to bring my truck to you so you can help figure out what that damn rattle and clunk are coming from the rear end. Just haven't had the time to get down your way. This would be great. What would you be looking to charge for such fine limo service?

My good buddy Jim said he charges $3 a mile and hauls from all over the country:D . I think $1.50 a mile or a set minimum for short runs is more than fair. A hauling setup of this caliber ain't cheap;) . I figured Unsane, Wes and you would appreciate this as you live way up there and are busy folks that can afford a little convenience:D

Well, I ran down to Waco and picked it up from the plant this morning. I had a little time after work to do a few essentials to it before midnight. It now has a winch, battery, tie downs, and other stuffs. I am picking up the first truck tomorrow. My camera is out of pocket so pics will be later..

I have faith my customers will take advantage of our new offerings. Here is a pic of the new box already in use. This customer has a blown engine and lived just south of Ft Worth. The wreckers he called quoted him $300 and up for a flatbed ride to Duncanville. So $200 was a deal to him:tu:

Jeff wants to know how much you will charge him to come move his furniture for him. And do you have a appliance dolly that he can use to load the trailer? PR Moving Company. Expand your horizons:evil .

I have been working my arse off trying to catch up at the shop. I took a few hours this evening to paint the wood floor of the trailer. I wanted to seal it up from the evil fluids of blown motors and such. I am using a tough oil based commercial paint that should do well. I can't decide what to do with the walls maybe waterproof them in clear stain or paint them a color like white or tan.

Looking Good Terry.....I'm with Jacob on the walls...white for sure. Tan will make it look small and cramped in there...white will give it depth and a spacious look.

If you would like for Heather(the wife) to look at it, she could probably put a color palette together for you. Remember that she is licensed to desecrate interiors..:tu:

Only a married man would know what that was. I will probably wait until the walls are insulated before painting them WHITE!
