i dont post on here very often but i have a question that has been eating at me..

i just found a built DOHC 5.4 out of a navigator, and was wondering why you dont see this swap done by lightining owners that have plenty of cash flow..
The HP potential for this motor is through the roof..

Is there a reason you dont see this swap done. Is the DOHC to expensive to locate, build and then put in the truck...I mean, ive never even read about this swap. There has got to be a reason. Hey,maybe no one even really knew that ford mass produced a DOHC 5.4...

Expense is most of it. JDM and others have sold a few of these. You can make a lot of power on standard heads is the main reason I guess. The only difference is the heads and timing cover.

i think a lot more people would do it if you didnt have to fab the entire lower intake
