got my new family vehicle

well you all said 4 door SUV, well I got SUV, just not 4 door.... this baby is CLEAN.. not a scratch on her... and wow, this sucker flies!!! I havent even turned up the boost yet, but i bet with the boost up and race gas, its easily a mid 12sec truck.... has all the goodies (upgraded turbo, upgraded IC, injectors, fuel pumps, wastegate, cold air, exhaust, blah blah blah) Should be a fun little ride to get me by for year or so until we have baby, pay off some bills, etc. And at same time, can haul around 2 kids, wife and me and throw some cargo in back

the ground effects were just repainted about a month ago, so no Typhoon decals on the side yet... and brand new Faulken tires about 3 weeks ago... they were $178 a pop.... nice little bonus for me.... I hate buying tires

Thats a sweet ride I looked at that Typhoon about 3 months ago. I work with one of that guys friends, but that thing is clean. :beer:

was the ground effects and tires on there then? he told me they were JUST done about a month or so ago... but has been parked since... it is very clean for a 1 year old car much less a 12 year old one.

It had the ground effects on then and they were painted but he may have redone them. The rims and tires looked new then put he could have replaced them. I know that he took his buddy for a ride with it turned up and when they got back I ask how it was and the guy I work with said it was fast as hell but was pinging alot. It may of been the gas but I would have it tuned just to be safe. :)

well i have the boost all the way down and not going to turn it up.... i wanna get a real custom tune and wideband... right now it just has some 8 year old over the counter plug n play chip.... i want a tuner to make me a good one so i know whats going on

Damn, you could not have bought a more specialized pain in the arse vehicle. That thing was in our shop about six months ago right before it was hit hence 'repaint', Good luck geniushttp://www.talonclub.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif . This makes the gen 1 look like a good choice.

where was it hit at then and what work did you do on it? i ran carfax and it was clean so must not have been enough damage to warrant the person paying their deductable and letting insurance cover the rest...

but if you got some info on it, id like to know

carfax relies on the public and insurance companies to report the accidents that show up on car fax. If he paid for it all out of pocket or there was no claim on his part it wont show up. Theres alot of other little loop holes that you can get around....


I talked with the carfax rep that visits dealerships in this area and he told me some interesting things.
