Question anbout engines???????

Will someone please tell me if the 99 engine is the same engine that is in the 2000 :confused: :confused: :confused: ???? I thought they were diffrent but someone just told me they were identical. Did he know what he was talking about?????

I think their identical.

Thanks for straightening me out guys!!!!! The guy talking to me was very upset that at 74K miles his enging blew. It cost him several dollars to repair it. Needless to say he had nothing nice to say about (FORD) I haven't heard too many complaints that engines are blowing up. I know I launched#3 plug at 23K. I was upset but I understood that was a common problem.

Gears were the same 99-00. 3:73's came out in 01 but the engines were the same 99-00 blower to oil pan. In 01 they changed the bolt pattern on the blower, new lower intake, and 90mm MAF.
