talk about sticking your foot in your mouth.
everytime i have ever been caught doing something stupid by the cops, i have told the truth and they let me go easy. bottom line, dont lie and dont get an attitude, most of the time they will let you off easily. (although its not guaranteed) most of the time they know you are lieing because they know why they pulled you over. duh.

I'll have to agree w/Gaven. I've seen this work many times.
Hell, one of our other Consultants and I were pulled over on the Palmetto/826 in Miami yesterday for running up the shoulder for almost a 1/8 mile past stand-still traffic trying to get to the job-site on time. We were both "yes, sir ... no, sir" once he nailed us and got out of a tkt.knana
I think half of it was that my colleagues Georgia home addr. and N. Carolina DL's addr. were different and that he had 'bigger fish to fry" and let us go.
Oh yeah, not to thread-jack but, FHP has the hot-rod FHP Marauders running around. I've seen the Maroon and Silver units running around down there. Very stealthy.:bows

Ficksed. :d
One thing mentioned i the posted thread, I find a bit disturbing:
It is illegal to modify your car with aftermarket 'performance' parts. Is it widely inforced [sic.]? No. Can they get you for it if they want to be dicks? Yes. Can you get out of it? Easily. The law states that you are only allowed to modify your car with aftermarket parts if the part that is being replaced is no longer functioning. You have to have proof though that there was a problem such as maintenance records etc. I actually had a friend from when I lived up in Camp Lejeune take his stock exhaust to court to show the judge the rust holes in it.
WTF??? When did they become a police state??? And does that mean ANY "aftermarket modification"?? What's next, hauling us off to jail for putting in a new radio, or tires that are a different brand than original?
I know, at least here in TExas (afaik) they aren't doing this to us--yet. But it's sad that it's happening already. :(
