Need Help Fast

I went out to start the L this morning and it will start but wont idle; it will run as long as you are giving it the gas, but as soon as you let off the gas it dies. i dont know whats going on. Please call me if you can help 281-728-3739 i live in lewisville so any help would be greatly appreciated. my name is Brenton.

Have you done anything to the truck?

Check for vacuum leaks

Open hood and listen
If you need to get someone to keep it running while you open hood - Look under intake boot to be sure all 3 hoses are connected

take off your iac valve, clean it with some carb/intake cleaner. I bet its just stuck.

Not close but this is it. I would still look for vacuum leaks first.

ok i tapped on the ica with a small hammer and now it starts and idles fine dont know how long it will last though thanks for all of yalls help.Also is the club doing any thing for memoral day or any of yall getting together let me know.

PoorMans right the IAC valve..take it off tonight and soak it in some berrymans or carb cleaner. Blow it out in the morn. Mine didnt do it on the L but it did it on my SHO i soaked it overnight blew it out real good and saved myself $70. 10,000 miles later no problemo. :beer:

just use some brake clean, intake cleaner or something... Id come help you but i had to go with my mom to buy a mattress.

You dont have to let it soak over night or dry over night. Just spray it, maybe take some qtips to get in there, pour the cleaner out spray again, pour out and blow it out with some light compressed air or your mouth and you should be in business.
