What kind of help were you looking for? I can't help this evening, but the next couple of evenings after I'm free.
I'm old and wimpy so keep that in mind when you try to imagine how much actual help you'll get.

I just need to chop this thing to pieces and stack it up for the garbage (you don't think pieces of that are going to go into the bed of the Lightning and to the dump, do you???). I just know some of the guys here are demented and like cutting things to pieces, so I figured this would be right up their alley. I've cut down several trees in my yard before, so taking this thing apart would not be too terrible for me to do alone...I just figured if anyone wanted to hack at this thing I'd give them the chance. I have a chain saw and a nice axe to swing at it :tu: . Nice way to work off any frustrations one might have....just gotta leave the dog in the house...

I wouldn't say I have any real "desire" to chop it up. I'm a tech and I fix things for a living, not break. I'm still willing to help out so just let me know if you need it.

I was pretty sure he wasn't going to do that. I think there would be too many splinters in the bedrug. :)
Oweee!

Do you have a fireplace?? I think I'd rather see that poor old tree either go for firewood or lumber. :(
I heard the storm come thru, but I don't think anything blew down... better check, tho.
Holler at me, I might could help ya on Saturday.

Really is crap wood...not too good for firepalce burning. It will take a while to get rid of it anyway. I'm prolly going to cut part of it tonight since it is currntly suspended from one of my other trees, so it doesn't fall on the dog. Over the weekend I'll cut her up...

Tom,
I wouldn't mind some chain-saw work, but it looks like we're running up to Tulsa this weekend to see the in-laws.
Chain-sawing down big oak trees, cutting them down to sizeable firewood pieces to stack and dragging the brush off is tough work.
I could use some stress-relief of the chain-saw kind. Maybe I need to hit the range, too.:D
No evidence of high-winds on our side-of-the-hill.
