This is a pretty neat idea. I actually saw something similar at the 1999 Formula SAE competition, built by the Univeristy of Michigan (without the AWD). THis thing's running a 1300CC Hyabusa motor, with a belt drive driving a pair of Quaife diffs at either end. Check out www.dpcars.net for more info. :tu:

my friend is on the UTA formula sae team, he does a lot of the machining and building of the engines.
