I was wondering, what is everybody using Motorcraft, NGK or Brisks .....etc.
I recently bought a set of Brisks, but don't know of anybody using them. Dealer recommended only Motorcraft of course, but wouldn't install anything but Motorcraft in a case of blowing a plug.
Any truth in this? Any info is helpful.

I have a 2003 with 4# lower pulley and use NGK TR6 plugs. If you have stock boost, then I think you need to use a hotter plug equivilent to the ford plugs. I have read and heard that the iridium plugs (Denso or NGK) have very, very low missfire rate, but cost $5 to $7 per plug more. I would not think that the decrease in misfire rate is significant unless you want ultra performance. The 5.4 liter engine runs a lot slower than most of the other high performance engines (5500-rpm max vs, 8000 max), so missfire rate is not as important.

NGK or Denso is fine, Motorcraft plugs are platinum and rule#1 is never run a platinum plug in forced induction or nitrous engines. Ford only uses them for the 110K mile interval.
