rough idle

I just bought this 1995 Talon TSI FWD. AS IT IS, NO WARRANTY

This thing has a rough idle. Yesterday i took it PepBoys and got Fuel Injectors cleaned. [ No good ]
They told me i have a valve problem in cylinder 1 and 3.

Now i just got an estimate to fix that with [ hoses, timing belt and stuff ]. $1500. mannnnnnnn!!!!

Do you guys suggest anything ? [ Cheaper is better ]

another questions --

Is it gonna cause engine to fail soon and stop running or just that i am not getting the performance. ?

Have you done a compression check and a leak down?
If not, do so. If the difference between all cylinders is less than 15% it will run for a while. If not, rebuild time.
