I keep putting off getting mine. Too busy with work/etc.:hammer:
What do you plan on qualifying with and/or carrying?

I bought a Glock model 32 from Terry. I LOVE that bad boy. It took some time to get used to (that thing is a real smoker) but I've got it down like a champ now!

make sure you mark that you are testing for a semi auto and not a revolver, if you dont you can only carry a revolver, but if you mark semi auto then you can carry any, not sure why anyone would carry a revolver anymore, all personal choice I guess
where are you taking yor class, I did mine in grand prarie, it took 6 hours :hammer:

^^If your class only lasted 6 hours then it was not legal. :nono: The state mandates that the class must last 10 hours. No more, no less.
Make sure that you go somewhere that includes EVERYTHING in the course. Photos, (make sure you sign the backs), Fingerprint cards have to be signed too.
I took mine at Winchester Gallery in Fort Worth. It lasted all day, got photos and fingerprints at the same time then mailed it off to Austin the next day.

I guess mines illegal, even though I have my CHL Technically it is. It's the instructors fault though not yours. The instructors know what's required.
edit: I do not know that the requirement was always 10 hours. It's possible that the rules were different when you took your class if it was a long time ago.

Don't be a hater G:nono: . Those classes have little redeaming value anyways. They pass whoever no matter how long or short it is and that is whats bad not the 8 hours or 10 hours:hammer: . I've seen folks shoot the wrong target, turn 180' on the firing line with a jam. Several who could not operate the weapon they tested with. The instructors would load and change mags for them. Sad, I think it harder to get your drivers license than CHL:eek: . That is why I will stick to a whistle and pepper spray.

Put it under the seat and lets go drink some beer. :d Watch the drinking when you carry!! :nono:Sometimes carrying is more trouble to you than needing it for defending your life.I know a few who got felonys from carrying, had a bit too much to drink(just over legal limit) and got DUI and a felony all in one shot. :hammer:Lost their job for the felony!!!! :throw:
