Just got off the phone with the SVT Service Advisor. He said that beasts sounds AWESOME, especially with open headers. "It cams pretty hard", he said. He also said the check engine light is going crazy....needs a chip badly. Hopefully I can go get it Wednesday. They have to pull the tank back out and clean it. It is full of trash and they were using the gas that was in it.....almost a year old. I told him I need it back in time to get the rest of the exhaust welded on. I am sure the exhaust won't quite it down much since I won't have any cats. I am excited as a 22 year old boy at Hooter's.:d

JD,
Will you have that badboy ready for FFW this weekend?

Hey Justin, what were the specs on your cams? I am very interested to know what they sound like and what the idle is like when you get a chance. I went with Mod Max for my heads. They are blower cams and are 220/.525 intake and 230/.575 exhaust. That was as much as I felt I could do with a 2400 stall converter!

99WhiteBeast, yes I should have it with me this weekend, though I will tow it down there. I have got to get Jim to tune me a chip. It won't run with the stock program.

Flatsman, I believe I recall the specs to be 220/232 on the duration, 550 lift on both sides and a 112 lobe. They are regrinds by Crane.
Is yours a 114 or 112 degree lobe? Either way those are good specs for your setup.

Man I was doing an install around the corner and looked over to see what was making that horrid sound! That MoFo set off every car alarm in the parking lot. It surges pretty bad and needs some minor things fixed before delivery. Nasty wicked JD:tu: Oh yeah what stall is in that thing it sure feels tight?:D

Now you lost me Terry. I know you weren't at Bankston when they fired her up.:D
BTW it is the stock converter....for now. I want to get it broke in and some dyno #s ran before I go and put it in. I think it will be to high. It is rated at about 3,400. It will be pretty tight, so I may leave the line in 2nd.:d A Powerglide in an L.

Yeah I was there and it was fun I'll have to buy you a beer some time:tu: I saw it parked out back with the trans on a crate last week and figured it would have been done before today (yeah right:rolleyes: ) That thing is going to pull the paint off a stock L!

Well I had to order in some coil packs from fordpartsonline. They were $444 overnighted to me. The parts department over there wanted to charge me $800! So I got them in Friday and carried them over there Saturday. Here is a post I left in my other thread that I wrote Sat.

UPDATE
Well, I got up at 5:45 this morning to make a trip to Bankston. I had to deliver a new set of coil packs to them and I checked my truck out while I was there. They are almost done. The motor is in as so is the tranny, intake, blower, plenum, electric fan, long tubes, etc. Mike, the mechanic, is having a little bit of trouble wiring my fan kit. He insists on hooking it up so it will also come on with my a/c. I told him I would take care of that. I can easily get Jim and/or Shaun to do my a/c and manual switch option next weekend. Also he has a little tiny problem getting my intercooler lines mounted right since my truck is a '00 and I now have the complete '01 top half. Just needs a custom bracket he said.
All I need after I get her back is to install and weld the rest of the exhaust up. I am thinking it is going to be a little loud when they fire her up.
Probably go get her Monday afternoon the way it is looking.
