I have a 2000 that i bought a pulley for and just found out its for a 01 and up truck, so from what I read it wont work I think, but heres the thing, ford put a new long block it back in march so whats the chances that its the newer style block and will the pulley fit in this case?

It depends on the crank pulley not the year of block. It is probably old style.

You can try to peek behind the stock pulley and look for three bolts holding a flange on to the stock crank pulley. That was the 99-00 style crank pulley. I think I have a used 4# for 99-00 around the shop:tu: .
