Home stereo speaker gurus..

I gave my older 8 ohm front, 6 ohm rear surround channel stereo speakers and 6 ohm center channel speaker, to my brother in law. He wants to hook them up to his home theater reciever, but it is rated for 4 ohms on the speaker terminals. Can you run the 6/8 ohm speakers on his 4 ohm rated amp? TIA....

He said you are good to go you just won't be maximizing the speakers.
Make sure the amp is off before establishing the connections

oh yes, that should work just fine
