Never thought I'd see the day when the dudes over at F150online would be more helpful than the fellas over here. :d :p

I know a lot of stuff when I'm over at F150online, but when I start posting over here, I become a dumba$$.

I'm not sure, but it appears that half the Silver Lightnings ever made are members of our club.

That is quite interesting. Looking at the chart, I'm assuming that Ford sold all of them as well.

Would be something to see how many are still on the road. Any contacts with the DOT? Moonshine?

Wow, it looks like a white '02 is the rarest of all, only 6% of the '02 production. Pretty cool. :tu:

Blue oval, the federal DOT doesn't deal with registrations. The only way to do this would be to search all 50 states individually, and to limit the search to VIN sequences that would separate the L.'s from all the other F150's would be very labor intensive. I'd be curious as well, but not something that could realistically be done without a real legitimate business need.

I didn't know white ones were that rare.

It was my color of choice and I went on a mission to find one about a month ago. I started by checking out some of the SVT dealers closest to my house. No luck. At svt.ford.com, I got the phone numbers of every dealer in the Dallas area and none of them had one.

Went back to svt.ford.com and poked in an area code for Houston and I emailed every one of those dealers asking and after two days got a response from a dealer in Davidson, TX who had just gotten one in.

Drove down and made the deal. I absolutely love this truck. It's the first time in forever, that I can remember getting a vehicle because it was what I wanted instead of what was the right thing to do.

I get a big :D on my face every time I look at and I fully expect that it will last for years to come.
