Mark and I each reserved a room for Lightningfest. Before we cancel one of the reservations, does anyone need a room with two double beds? :cool:

I thought this thread was about having the next Lightning Fest in Dallas! Not a bad idea considering Gas prices and driving distance. Maybe we could have a LF Jr. In the Dallas area and we would even invite people from Oklahoma....well maybe! Doug could be our Grand Leader and we could get him a special Talon Robe and a custom hat to wear during the event. Tom Liss and Sixpipes could be the enforcers! This has possibilities!! What do you guys think about this?

I like the idea about the custom robe and hat for Doug:rll: . Let's just be sure he doesn't look like the grand dragon of the KKK:eek:

Well I kinda pictured him as the "Grand Talon and Internet Wizard" or something. If you Guys and Girls can get 68 Lightnings to show up for a stinking picture, just imagine how many would show for a 3 day event close to home, but not at home! I would show up just to get a picture of Doug!

I think this would be a good time to mention the upcoming Talon Fall Classic:evil . Are you up to it this year Dennis? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Well, regarding the TFC, I have been disappointed in the turnout since we started. I think we should consider Kennedale for the event and just have a low ET day at Hallsville sometime this winter. As much as some guys don't like the 1/8th mile, the goal is participation. We may start a thread after Lightningfest. :cool:
