Please read the announcement at the top of the forum - the one that says For Sale Section Policies -READ THIS FIRST (http://www.talonclub.com/forum/announcement.php?f=8) ...
PS - A 99 in that condition isnt worth that much money ...
Let me guess you based the sale price on what you owe.....

Yup...a halo member just bought a low mileage 99 model from a Talon member for well under 15K.
I seen it the other day and it was flawless!

I bought Moonshines truck which was a 2000 with lots of miles but it was a beautiful truck! Roll top bed cover, chip and filter for $12,5. Thanks Brian, that was a great truck! I passed it on to my friend for what I had into it so he got a good deal too!

you what if i had told you nothing was wrong with it i wouldnt have got these responses. the reason why our trucks value is down because of guys like you all saying you can get an older L for so cheap. the nada trade in value is 18,475 retail is 21K. so if your not interested dont come on here saying my trucks not worth it when you have never even seen it. i told you the problems with it because i want to be honest about it. ok if i fix all the problems is it worth that then? why am i asking ya'll? of course it wont be, please if you are not interested keep your opinions to yourself

oh and also i dont owe anything on the truck FYI. it looks exzactly like a stock 04, its worth what i am asking

It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. We are not willing to pay anything for a truck that belongs to someone we know nothing about. We are also not willing to allow you to hawk your truck on our site.
FYI these guys are not lowballing you they are just letting our other buddies know what these trucks can be had for so someone doesn't get taken. We actually look after one another in this community vs that other board that you have 100's of posts on.

Bryce, take your time selling it and you'll probably get what you're looking for.
Another one of our Halo members recently paid 19K for a clean 00 w/ 60K on the clock.

I had the incorrect mileage of 29K on my original post. I corrected it to reflect the posted mileage of 25K. This system was accurate to $100 bucks of what CarMax bought my 01 at. Unfortuneately banks nor CarMax like buying or financing 6-7 year old vehicles. If they do the interest rates are higher and terms are shorter. You show trade in to be 18K, let me know what dealer does that, I think Wes got 12-13K for his 2000 on trade in for his 2004. Good luck and enjoy your truck as you will have it a while:tu: .

Consumer Rated Condition:Good "Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history (http://www.carfax.com/cfm/general_check.cfm?partner=kbb_6&price=14030&year=1999&make=Ford&model=F150) , the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.

whats sad is that you can get them cheaper than that at auction.. My uncle goes to the auto auctions alot and buys cars/trucks for dealers and the like, and he called me with a 99 L 30k miles stock and he got it for 8k. To bad he was in florida and got it for a dealer.

"I read the rules and I choose to ignore them". LOL - What an idiot
As Terry said excellent means FLAWLESS not the 3 issues you highlighted.
KBB is and has been a better view of true value for a long time. Nada is used by dealers to get you financed- which means its high so they can get you in the car - If you could get a dealer or Carmax or anyone to give you that money you wouldnt be coming here.
As Terry said - When you sell it for your price sign up with a 3rd name and post up the cashiers check

truck is a 99 year model, 25 k miles all highway, mostly stock motor, 2.7 upper metco 100mm idler bracket. updated to look like a 03-04 with wheels grill painted mirrors lights led brake light, silverstar lights, smoothed and painted sidesteps, updated intercooler tint windows bedrug lowered 1/2 snugtop bedcap. problem areas on the truck are only cosmetic. both fogs are cracked, front windsheld has a hairline crack and the snugtop has a scuff on it could be buffed out. $18,500 brycet_99@yahoo.com have hundreds of posts on the NLOC website. thanks have pics availible email me

I got $16,200 on a trade of my '99 back in May '04. That truck had _brand new_ tires (not installed, I bought them and put them in the bed of the truck, so they went with it), and ~42k miles. Several members here verified that the truck was immaculate (which is still very subjective...I'm not dissing anyone else's truck).
Of course with the trade there is a tax savings, to the tune of another $1k or so. Still, that was over a year ago (meaning the value would go down since then). There's _no way_ I'd have gotten more for a private party deal...not the equivalent of over $17k. Forget it. At that time you could get a brand new '04 for $27k without even trying.
As others have said... NADA retail is typically high, and is often only used for banks regarding how much they are willing to finance for a given vehicle.

It would sell in CA for $18K with mods and low milage like that. Try autotrader.com That is how I recently sold my 95' Eclipse GSX (95k mi) with a bunch of mods for about $2k over high bluebook. Got what I was asking and probably even left $1k on the table with all the responses I got. Had it sold in 3 days and had at least a dousin offeres after it was spoken for. Vehicles like these trucks sell to a very narrow "nich" market, very few people are looking for them, so you need to expand your exposure to a broader area so more people that are looking for a lightning will see your add. Also, my car was bought out of state and it only cost $560 for my car to be shipped to TX from CA, door to door pickup/delivery.
quote by Ducman. i think everyone here is mad because they got screwed swhen they sold their's. by the way how many 99's that you see have 25 k miles on them? this truck has all the upgrades except gears to be an 03-04. lightnings here were selling for 33,688 no haggling with the price thats why i bought this one with 1350 miles on it and saved 10 g's. i would like to see one example of a 99 with 25k or less sell for less than 15-16k.
